Dividing the house area into three parts — inner house, outer house and household shrine, it enclosed inner house with the inner wall, and enclosed the whole area with the outer larger wall.
In the pine tree wood to the south of this house, there stands Hyojagak (Filial Son Pavilion) of the house owner's grandfather. The house site is located in an inland island where Samgacheon, the stream flowing down from Songnisan mountain is divided into two branches and forms an delta-shaped island. According to a saying, the site is the 'lotus-floating site', and the founder of this house selected the site hoping the prosperity of his offsprings and longevity. The thick and tall pine tree wood surrounding the house makes the scenery spectacular.
