Boeun-County is located in the middle south of Chungcheongbuk-do and is one of the administrative districts in the province, 3 cities and 9 guns. It is a typical basin located in between the steep ranges of Sobaeksanmaek (Mts.) and Noryeongsanmaek (Mts.). Bocheongcheon (Stream), originating from the north west region of the province, runs through Boeun-district, the heart of the province. It finally merges into the main stream of Geumgang (River) at Hapgeum-ri, Cheongseong-myeon, Okcheon-gun with forming a reverse S shape. The surrounding area of Bocheongcheon (Stream) is the richest grain district in the County.
